BTS’ “IDOL” Debuts at No. 11 on Billboard Hot 100!

BTS scores their third Top 40 hit on the Billboard Hot 100.

BTS continues to make history. “IDOL”, the title track off their latest album Love Yourself: Answer debuts at No. 11 on the Billboard Hot 100 for the week ending September 8.

“IDOL” is also No.11 on Streaming Songs chart with 24.4 million first week streams and comes in at No. 1 on the Digital Songs Sales chart with 43,000 downloads for the week ending August 30.

“IDOL” is now BTS’ fourth song to chart inside the Hot 100, the most for a Korean group. It’s also the group’s third Top 40 hit, following “Fake Love”, which peaked at No. 10 back in May, and “MIC Drop Remix featuring Steve Aoki and Desiigner, which debuted at No. 28.

To say that the past few weeks have been big for BTS is an understatement. They got their second No. 1 album in America with Love Yourself: Answer earlier this week. The music video for “IDOL” made YouTube history by getting the most views in 24 hours. “IDOL” is also the first song by a Korean group to chart in the Top 40 on the UK Official Singles Chart, ranking at No. 21.

Congrats to BTS! The “IDOL” era is shaping up to be an exciting point in BTS’ careers and the best is yet to come!
