Does personal brand exist? Of course. Duh!

There has been a lot of talk lately about personal brand
Lots of yeah yeah blah blah words that are very bland
Yet they feel the need to let you know where they stand
Unfortunately, they have their head in the sand.

They even disagree on how to define it
Their views on the definition are split
And they all think their positions are legit
Let me tell you the truth: stop giving a shit

A brand is what people recognize, nothing more nothing less
Defining it to fit a diverse crowd causes you to digress
Trying to get everyone to agree on a definition just causes stress
It doesn’t take a genius to see that we are blessed

Our differences make us unique
And that natural need to critique
Prevents us from becoming weak
And ensures we always try to improve our technique

That is how we get better with time
We get down and dirty – deep in the grime
Come out at our best – in our prime
Looking for new mountains we can climb

Stop focusing on what brand is and remember how it acts
It causes a person’s mind to react
A positive brand causes people to attract
A negative brand shows somebody slacked

It doesn’t get much easier than that
Brands have an impact
Let’s not get stupid trying to be exact
Keep doing that you’ll miss the point and go splat.

Blind leading the blind or the echo chamber

Social media makes it very easy to meet people. Networking can be very valuable to entrepreneurs. Unfortunately, the term “friend” is overused and the meaning of “friends” has become diluted. If you are a parent, it’s like your child hanging around the “wrong” group of kids….can you relate to that?
