It ain’t over yet

An abnormal election year keeps getting weirder and yet I'm feeling defiantly hopeful.

In a weird, sort of ironic way, Drake’s “Over” perfectly describes Election Night 2020 — how we all hoped this political hot mess would be over by now, but alas, it’s only just beginning.

We still don’t know who the President of the United States is, although political analysts are cautiously confident that Joe Biden is going to win.

Key battleground states like Georgia and Pennsylvania are still tallying votes and millions of mail-in ballots haven’t been counted yet.

And even if Biden does manage to win, you know Trump is going to do everything in his power to stay in the White House, even if it means getting the Supreme Court involved (although legal experts say Trump’s odds of even getting a case presented to the higher courts is low, let alone claim any victories).

To say this election is getting weirder and weirder is an understatement, but it ain’t over yet.

I’ll admit I was slightly depressed last night/early this morning and I’m sure a lot of people are experiencing a similar sense of fear, stress, and anxiety over the current situation. But as time rolls on, I’m beginning to feel a type of optimism that’s almost defiant. You know what they say:
