Korean R&B Singer G.Soul Covers Solange’s “Cranes in the Sky”

It’s #MusicMonday, so I decided to share this soulful cover of Solange’s “Cranes in the Sky”.

The past couple of days have been pretty chill, which is great considering how stressful the past few weeks have been (my cat Daichi passed away late August) . Listening to G.Soul covering Solange probably helped a little bit.

G.Soul is a South Korean R&B singer currently signed to global hip-hop label H1GHR MUSIC RECORDS. I stumbled upon his cover of Solange’s hit single “Cranes in the Sky” featuring American saxophonist Justin Ward yesterday and I absolutely loved it.

“Cranes in the Sky” is my favorite song by Solange and I’ll admit, I kinda like G.Soul’s rendition a bit more than the original. His take on the track has a more modern and jazzy feel to it but still has the emotional vulnerability that made the original version so amazing.

If you want to hear more from G.Soul, be sure to download his new EP Circles on iTunes or stream the album on Spotify.
