Monsta X drops English version of “Shoot Out”

Monsta X has released an English version of their single “Shoot Out“. The song was sent to American radio on November 9 at 6PM KST/4AM EST.

I’ve heard a few songs of Monsta X in the past, but “Shoot Out” is the first track to make me take notice of the group. The track is an intense, aggressive electro-pop song with strong, powerful vocals. The original version of “Shoot Out” is sung in Korean and is the lead single off the group’s second full-length album, Take.1 Are You There?, which was released on October 22.

One thing I like about the English version of “Shoot Out” is how well the translated lyrics matches the music. A lot of times, when a song that was written in a foreign language is translated to English, the English lyrics don’t always mesh well with the melody, and it can sound a little awkward at times. Thankfully, that’s not the case here with “Shoot Out” and whoever wrote the English lyrics did a great job here.

And if you want to hear the original, here’s the music video for the Korean version of “Shoot Out”.
