A long overdue family tree update.
I've been working with DNA matches more than adding people to the family tree. I'm starting to notice patterns within family lines!
This weekend was one of those frustrating ones when technology kills your vibe. Let's look at how my family tree is progressing.
The theme of this update: nothing matches. I'm making process but there is a lot of inaccurate information out there.
Ancestry updated the algorithm behind their AncestryDNA test that calculates the ethnicity estimate. From comments I see many lost their Italian ethnicity estimate. For me? Hahahaha!!!
Ancestry removed pagination for navigating through DNA matches. I talk about why I think they did this. I don't like it.
I received my DNA test results. While I understand the ethnicity test is not accurate, I made adjustments that probably accurately reflect my results. Overall, I'm pleased with the results.
I've reduced the time working on new leads on my family tree and focused on fixing glitches in my tree. Ancestry has been very buggy lately.
They received my DNA test. What next? Take their advice: work on my tree.
My AncestryDNA test is here. It's time to continue the journey.
