ALLDAY PROJECT’s ‘Look At Me’ is Catchy Yet Unremarkable

ALLDAY PROJECT’s “Look At Me” shows a group six months into their career already losing their spark, recycling BLACKPINK’s formula without substance.

ALLDAY PROJECT released “Look At Me” as the lead single from their debut self-titled EP on December 8, 2025.

The track incorporates jersey club and trap into its production. It’s designed to be super catchy but doesn’t mean that it’s good.

And for a group barely six months into their career, “Look At Me” raises a troubling question: if ALLDAY PROJECT is already rehashing sounds and losing their spark, what happens when the novelty wears off?

The Nursery Rhyme Problem

“Look At Me” is a repetitive track that uses a nursery rhyme-inspired chant to get it stuck in your head. The chorus repeats the line “I like the way you look at me. Look at me. ADP” until it’s engraved into your skull.

Critics compared the hook to Barney the Dinosaur’s “I Love You”. That’s not a compliment. The track is missing the hypnotic hook and groove that made “Famous” and “One More Time” so popular

Instead, it’s built on excessive posturing, needless breakdowns with a message that comes off as self-centered rather than confident.

It’s not the best song in their growing discography yet it’s one of their most catchy songs. That’s the problem.

The BLACKPINK Influences

The five-member co-ed group (Annie, Tarzzan, Bailey, Woochan, and Youngseo) started strong with “Famous” and “Wicked.”

ALLDAY PROJECT is barely six months into their career, yet their sound is already losing its spark. They start off strong with “Famous” and “Wicked” that it seems like their producer Teddy Park doesn’t know where to go next

So instead he’s giving them a rehash of the sound and identity BLACKPINK has (Teddy produced the bulk of Blackpink’s discography). ADP presents themselves as being richer, badder and cooler than everyone else. You’ll see members rocking fur coats and expensive jewelry. They have blank expressions on their faces. Their songs brag about their awesomeness with brash, electro hip-hop production.

Yet there’s no substance. Nothing that makes ALLDAY PROJECT stand out amongst all the YG and YG-adjacent acts out there.

Where’s the Follow-Through?

BLACKPINK has the attitude, fame, and accolades to back up their concept. BABYMONSTER has strong vocalists and rappers in their lineup. MEOVV has an experimental cat concept. Jeon Somi is the closest THEBLACKLABEL has to a traditional pop star. Each act under or associated with YG Entertainment has something distinct.

ALLDAY PROJECT claims that everyone wants to be like them, but they don’t give any reasons why we’d feel that way. There’s no follow-through on their side.

The Agency’s Short-Term Vision

THEBLACKLABEL is failing ALLDAY PROJECT. Their agency is focused more on short-term success than actually building a legacy for the group.

Throwing together catchy but hollow tracks might generate streams and hype now, but it won’t sustain a career. The group has been gaining momentum as one of K-pop’s fastest-rising rookies. That momentum means nothing if there’s nowhere for them to go. ALLDAY PROJECT needs a concept and sound that’s unique to them. One that compliments the members, highlights their strengths. One that gives them room to grow as artists the longer they’re in the industry. Six months in, they should still be establishing their identity. Instead, they’re already repeating themselves.
