My defintion of a blog network

Lots of talk about blog networks. I have a pet peeve. Figured I might as well discuss it. First, what is a blog network? In my opinion, the network has to have ownership or some sort of control of the blogs. Not necessarily 100% control but some controlling interest. Given that definition, that would mean there are "blog networks" not being recognized as such.

Moving on…

The phone rings, I answer it (this happened a couple of days ago): Me: Hello? Old friend of the family (OFOTF): Hi Tyme! How are you? Me: Hi, I’m fine, how are you? Exchange pleasantries….then we continue. OFOTF: I called…

TalkTyme: Thinking about maiden names

A friend of mine is going through a really tough time…identity theft. The odd thing is that the thief actually called the bank to change address information. They knew the Social Security number, name (obviously), address, phone, account number and…

Tyme’s Thoughts: Tags

MovableType released a tag plug-in. In this post Anil referred to a post by Jeffrey Zeldman about tags which I agree with 100%. Here is an excerpt: The less brainy and more pressing problem is that with tag clouds, topics…

Memories

I remember when I was growing up the neighborhood kids would play in our backyards. We might be four or five houses from our home but we’d have to be with in range. See, we had to hear when our…

Things you learn…

Robert Scoble responded [website no longer online] to my post about embarrassing yourself. His comments are down, so I’m going to post about them here, with confidence he’ll find this post. 🙂 I agree 100% about getting to know a…

AOL just keeps screwing up

AOL is offering free email: yes another company offering 2GB storage. The only difference (supposedly) is that paid AOL users see an ad at the bottom and AIM users see an ad at the top. WRONG! Screw up #1 –…
