f(x) member and singer-songwriter Amber Liu released her new single album White Noise + Lost At Sea on September 21.
“White Noise” is an electronic pop track with a few dubsteps influences mixed in, where Amber sings about feeling lost while trying to find your way. Amber explained in an interview with Billboard that the song was inspired by a period in her life where she felt confused about what she should do with her life and she wanted the song to be a source of comfort for people who are in a similar situation.
For the second song, “Lost At Sea” is a progressive house track about being trapped in a toxic relationship and the feeling that things won’t get better.
The double single is Amber’s first release since dropping her Rogue Rouge mixtape back in April and follows the announcement of her signing with Steel Wool Entertainment for US activities and promotions..
Note: Amber is still signed to SM Entertainment who manages her Korean activities. f(x) is on hiatus and the other members are focused on their respective solo careers.
