Summary (TL;DR)
Timm discovers a bulletin about a wanted Kenari male, which fuels his suspicions regarding Cassian. Knowing he has to leave Ferrix immediately, Cassian asks Bix to cancel the meeting with her buyer, but Bix says they’ll meet with them in the morning. Seeing Cassian and Bix together prompts Timm to send a tip about Cassian to the authorities. Syril Karn’s investigation intensifies, while Cassian races to escape Ferrix as soon as possible.
A Wanted Man
Bix (Adria Arjona) is looking at something on her computer when Timm (James McArdle) interrupts her to make plans for the night. Using her charm, Bix convinces Timm to reschedule their date for the next night. Little does she know, Timm soon discovers a bulletin on her computer, stating that the pre-Mor authority is seeking a Kenari male resident of Ferrix for questioning.
Upon his return home, Maarva (Fiona Shaw) confronts Cassian (Diego Luna) about whom he revealed his Kenari origins to, which she had concealed by claiming he was from Fest. Cassian admits to his mistake but keeps the details of the murders hidden.
Timm’s Betrayal
Later, at a bar, Cassian partially discloses what happened on Morlana to Bix, implying he might have taken a life. He proposes to sell an item to Bix instead, but she reveals that her buyer is scheduled to meet them the next morning.
From a distance, Timm misinterprets Bix and Cassian’s conversation as being more romantic than it really is. He starts drinking, which leads him to send a tip to the security headquarters with Cassian’s name. Unaware of Timm’s betrayal, Bix spends the night with him, while Timm begins to feel remorse for his actions.
Childhood Flashbacks and Present-Day Tensions
Glimpses of Cassian’s past are spread throughout the episode. As a child, Cassian (Antonio Viña) — who was originally named Kassa — visited a crash site with a tribe of older kids back in Kenari. One of the tribe kids was killed by one of the surviving crew members. While helping the kids carry their fallen member, Kassa looked back at the crashed Imperial ship with intense hatred.
In the present day, Syril Karn (Kyle Soller) and his team delve into Cassian’s record, showing how his anti-Imperial sentiments have manifested over the years: insurrection, destruction of Imperial property, and assaulting an Imperial soldier. They set out to apprehend Cassian as Luthen Rael (Stellan Skarsgård) makes his way to Ferrix.
Racing against time and pursuit, Cassian makes swift arrangements to leave Ferrix discreetly. During this process, we learn that the planet Kenari was abandoned after an Imperial mining accident and is now considered toxic.
