God of War Ragnarök Coming to PC on September 19, 2024

God of War Ragnarök is coming to PC on September 19, 2024, but you’ll need a PlayStation Network (PSN) account to play.

Here’s everything to know about God of War Ragnarök coming to PC.

Sony’s May 2024 State of Play revealed that the PS5 action-adventure game God of War Ragnarök is coming to PC on September 19, 2024. Here’s everything you need to know:

What is God of War Ragnarök About?

God of War Ragnarök is the sequel to the 2018 game in the God of War series. It follows Kratos and his teenage son, Atreus, as they navigate the Nine Realms facing Fimbulwinter — an endless winter that signals the approach of the apocalyptic event, Ragnarök.

This father-son journey involves intense combat, exploration, and a quest to forge their own path amidst the impending chaos. Expect stunning visuals and epic battles against legendary Norse creatures.

Pre-orders & Bonuses

Pre-orders are now open on Steam and the Epic Games Store. You can choose between the Standard and Digital Deluxe Editions. If you pre-order, you’ll get exclusive Risen Snow Armor for Kratos and a Risen Snow Tunic for Atreus.

Improvements & Visual Upgrades

The PC version has enhanced features, unlocked frame rates, and super ultra-widescreen support for an optimized gaming experience. The game supports NVIDIA Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS), Intel XeSS (Xe Super Sampling), and AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR).

PlayStation Network Login Required

Unfortunately, it’s been confirmed you’ll need a PlayStation Network (PSN) account to play God of War Ragnarök on PC. PSN is only available in 70 countries, so the game will be region-locked in countries without PSN access. This requirement has sparked controversy, as it limits the game’s availability for many gamers worldwide.

New Game+ & Valhalla

God of War Ragnarök PC will include all the post-launch updates, a New Game+ mode and the God of War Ragnarök: Valhalla DLC. Valhalla follows Kratos as he overcomes the trials of Valhalla while confronting his dark past.
